Ventnor Looks Ahead to a Fall Filled With Community

As another memorable summer begins to wind down, Ventnor is already looking ahead. The coming months will bring opportunities to honor a deserving military family, celebrate Halloween, support local businesses, meet fellow members of the business community and begin planning one of the city’s favorite New Year’s Day traditions.

The Ventnor Business Association is sharing several important dates—along with ways for residents, business owners and volunteers to get involved. Here is what is coming up in Ventnor this fall and winter.

First, a Summer Thank-You ☀️

The VBA extends a huge thank-you to everyone who volunteered at the association tent during Ventnor’s summer concerts. Those evenings are made possible by people willing to give their time, greet neighbors and visitors, and help create the welcoming community atmosphere that makes summer in Ventnor so special.

A Community Welcome
Line the Route for Ventnor’s Wounded Warrior Parade

On Tuesday, September 15, Ventnor will have the privilege of welcoming Sgt. Zaid and his family with the city’s annual Wounded Warrior Parade. The parade begins at Ski Beach at 5:30 p.m., travels along Dorset Avenue to Atlantic Avenue, then turns right and continues down Atlantic Avenue toward Longport.

Residents, business owners, employees, families and friends are encouraged to line the sidewalks along the route and show their support. A strong turnout can turn a parade into something much more: a warm, unmistakable Ventnor welcome and a lasting memory for Sgt. Zaid and his family.
