Isabella’s at Night, BYOB Mexican Restaurant Thurs-Mon 5pm-10pm
Isabella’s Ventnor Cafe is a local staple serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner since 2007. Influenced by his Mexican origins, Chef Ibis Gonzalez decided to add his grandmother’s touch when creating the restaurant’s menu. Observing that customers really enjoyed the Mexican inspired dishes, it was decided that the restaurant would open as an authentic Mexican restaurant in the evenings and so, Isabella’s at Night was brought to life in 2009.
Isabella’s at Night has a menu full of unique and traditional dishes including standouts like the perfectly delicious Chiles Rellenos and the iconic Oaxacan dish, Mole. No two Moles are alike, with family recipes being handed down through generations. Chef Ibis Gonzales has mastered this labor-intensive dish with about 27 ingredients.
Isabella’s breakfast and lunch menus are also worthy of praise, offering a variety of traditional breakfast items as well as Mexican dishes like Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros. In 2019, Isabella’s Ventnor Cafe was named “best breakfast spot” by the Ventnor Business Association.
Jagielky’s Homemade Candy has become a legacy of the Jersey Shore. George Jagielky established this candy store in July of 1972, with recipes he developed in Philadelphia. George was a local legend among candy connoisseurs and has passed his recipes down to family member, Mike Carr. Most of the candy is made in the store using George’s secret recipes for the unique centers, as well as the delicious chocolate blends.

Sasscer’s Cheesecakes, a 1,600-square-foot shop with retail and kitchen space, offers 40 different kinds of cheesecake, from plain to mocha cappuccino to apple peach cobbler to salty caramel cream — and everything in between. The cheesecakes come in three sizes: 4 inches, 6 inches and 10 inches.
The bakery also sells bread, pies, cookies, cream puffs, and cakes, as well as cupcakes that are filled with creamy cheesecake. Two bakers make the confections, and five employees decorate the baked items and handle the register.
