Friday mornings begin at the popular Farmers Market, weekends fill with live music along the beach, community tailgate parties bring neighbors together, and evenings invite families to gather by the bay. From the Summer Beach Jam concert series and Sunset at Ski Beach performances to festivals, waterfront celebrations, and family-friendly events, there’s always something happening throughout the season. Tonight, another highlight of Ventnor’s summer calendar returns as the VHSA Ski Beach Movie Night Series officially kicks off its first event of the summer.
🎬 A Perfect Summer Evening on the Bay
Hosted by the Ventnor Home & School Association (VHSA) in partnership with Ventnor Special Events and the Ventnor Business Association, the free three-part movie series transforms Ski Beach into one of Ventnor’s most enjoyable family gathering spots. With wide open green space overlooking the bay, Ski Beach provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of games, great food, and outdoor entertainment.
Tonight’s opening celebration marks the beginning of summer vacation with the theme “School’s Out! Let’s Go Wild!” Gates open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Popsicle Eating Contest at 6:00 p.m., before Zootopia 2 lights up the big screen at 7:00 p.m.. Admission is completely free, making it an easy and memorable evening for families looking to enjoy one of Ventnor’s most scenic waterfront locations.

The Ski Beach Movie Night Series is about much more than watching a film. It brings neighbors together, gives children a chance to play before the show begins, showcases local businesses and student entrepreneurs, and creates another memorable evening along Ventnor’s beautiful bayfront. Every bag of popcorn or box of candy purchased also helps support local students through the Ventnor Home & School Association, making every snack part of giving back to the community.
The fun doesn’t end tonight. The series continues on July 27 with a festive Christmas in July celebration featuring Luca, Pass the Parcel, and a special appearance by Surfin’ Santa. The final movie night takes place on August 31 with a pirate-themed evening before a screening of The SpongeBob Movie, giving families even more opportunities to enjoy summer evenings at Ski Beach.
