The city runs its free live music calendar under two banners: Summer Beach Jam oceanside at Newport Avenue, and Sunset at Ski Beach bayside in Ventnor Heights. Both series open with food trucks and local crafters at 5:30 p.m., followed by live music at 6:30 p.m.

A Summer to Remember

Both Ventnor summer concerts drew massive, steady crowds all season. Summer Beach Jam rolled through popular tributes—from Heart to Jimmy Buffett—before landing on tonight’s closer, Plaid Salmon. Sunset at Ski Beach featured favorites like the Sensational Soul Cruisers and a Steely Dan tribute, wrapping its regular Wednesday run on August 26 with The Exceptions.

The Final Acts: Plaid Salmon & The Usual Suspects

Tonight, Plaid Salmon brings their signature rock, pop, and dance covers to Newport Avenue for the ultimate oceanside party. Next week, Ventnor Special Events and the VBA deliver one last bayside send-off. While Sunset at Ski Beach normally runs on Wednesdays, the Goodbye to Summer Concert featuring The Usual Suspects is a special bonus event taking place on Saturday, September 5.
