The Comeback Collective

VBA members, local businesses and healthcare professionals come together under one roof on Ventnor Avenue — free to attend, with donations benefiting Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this Sunday Ventnor is showing up the way it always does — together. On Sunday, October 18, from 11am to 2pm, a group of Ventnor Business Association members and local businesses are turning Leslie’s Dance Studio into a pop-up wellness hub for The Comeback Collective.

The idea is simple: get moving, shop local and give back. Try sample workouts from local fitness pros, browse local vendors, and connect with healthcare professionals offering resources — all in one room, all in one afternoon. Admission is free, and donations benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer, the national nonprofit that has supported people affected by breast cancer since 1991.

Founded in 1991 and based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Living Beyond Breast Cancer connects people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support.

LBBC reports that more than 2 million people each year access its programs and digital resources — from medically reviewed information and online communities to financial assistance grants and a Breast Cancer Helpline that answers thousands of requests every year. Learn more at lbbc.org.

Need Support?

LBBC’s Breast Cancer Helpline connects you with trained volunteers who have their own breast cancer experience: 1-888-753-5222.

Why We Love It

This is the VBA at its best. One member organized it, another opened her doors, and a lineup of fitness pros, vendors and healthcare professionals are showing up for a cause that has touched so many families on this island. You get a workout, a little shopping and a chance to give — all on one Sunday on Ventnor Avenue.

Support matters at every stage. LBBC serves people newly diagnosed, in treatment, after treatment and living with metastatic breast cancer, as well as caregivers and family members.

Plan Your Visit

  • Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers if you want to jump into a class.
  • Bring a water bottle — and a way to pay if you plan to shop or donate.
  • Bring a friend. This one is better together.

Vendors: A Few Spaces Left

A few vendor spaces are still available. To participate, or ask about class times and event details, contact Jackie Fox at jackiefox3@verizon.net.

The Comeback Collective is organized by Jackie Fox of Fox Fitness 4 You and hosted by Leslie’s Dance Studio. Please share — we hope to see you there on October 18!
