Ventnor’s Twilight Holiday Parade Shines Brighter Than Ever
Ventnor City lit up on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, as the Twilight Holiday Parade once again transformed
Ventnor Avenue into a glowing ribbon of lights, music, and community pride. From New Haven to Nashville
Avenue, families lined the sidewalks cheering as marching bands, Mummers, floats, classic cars, and
fire trucks rolled by under the holiday lights.
The Twilight Parade has become one of Ventnor’s most beloved traditions.
Each year the lineup grows — more bands, more lights, more creative floats — all brought together
by a passionate team of organizers and the overwhelming support of the Downbeach community.
What started as a small local parade has become a true seasonal celebration, drawing families from
across the island and beyond.
This year brought some of the best participation yet, with high school marching bands from
around the region, Mummers string bands adding that unmistakable Philadelphia flair, and dozens of
beautifully decorated floats from local businesses and community groups. The energy was electric and
the turnout one of the strongest in recent memory.
A Huge Community Effort
The parade wouldn’t be possible without the combined leadership of community activist
Shelley D’Orazio and Donna Peterson, Coordinator of Ventnor Special Events and owner of Travel With Donna.
Together, they work closely with city departments — including Police, Fire, and Public Works — along with countless volunteers
to ensure the parade runs smoothly, safely, and with all the holiday magic Ventnor is known for.
The Twilight Parade has grown into a full holiday weekend in Ventnor, from the City Hall tree lighting
to special events, shopping, and dining all over town. It’s quickly becoming one of the most festive
weekends on the island.
